Terms of use
Last updated: October 9, 2026.
Using rmmetadata
You may use rmmetadata to remove supported metadata from files you own or have permission to modify. The tool is free in this release. Do not use it to misrepresent ownership, violate another person’s rights, or mislead others about the authenticity of content.
Keep an original copy
rmmetadata creates a downloadable copy. Keep your original and inspect the result before relying on it. The tool supports only the formats and structures described in the guides. Signed or encrypted PDFs and unsupported structures may be rejected.
Scope and availability
Removing metadata does not remove identifying content, watermarks or all possible proprietary fields. It does not guarantee anonymity or inability to detect AI-generated media. Browser memory, file structure and device performance may affect processing. This review release is provided as available, with no promise of uninterrupted service or compatibility with every valid file.
Commercial launch
Advertising is currently inactive. Pricing, usage limits and these terms may change in future releases. The public operator’s identity and contact information must be supplied before a public commercial launch.
